Many people travel to Chicago through Michigan.
Many others head to Traverse City, the Mackinaw Straits and Northern Michigan.
But in between those travels; many folks hit a midway point in Western Saginaw County in Frankenmuth.

Founded by German Lutheran Immigrants, the small village has grown into a great tourist destination.
Those who have visited the humble hamlet have visited Bronner's Christmas Wonderland (a 361 day Christmas shoppers delight), Zehnder's and the Bavarian Inn.

Both Zehnder's and the Bavarian Inn offer great snapshots in the city's history, touches of German American hospitality, and more resort offers.
However there are other offerings of quirky and fun visits for your stop.
Frank's Muth is a fully functional souvenir shop with a full service bar.

Right across their 'platz" is Frankenmuth Cheese Haus.
This cheese palace offers over 270 cheese from local, national and international cheesemongers.

Many other quirky, unique and interesting shops await your visit.
One of my favorites is a small coffee shop, Creation Coffee Company; offers a great break from the hectic walking and shopping.

This small yet vast city offers a wilderness zoo, mini golf, nearby parks and havens to reboot from your travels.

Again, we will be traveling through out Northern and Central Michigan through this series.
Life's an adventure; get out there and live it!
