It is not only part of the Mackinaw State Park group of parks; the visitor center under the southern span of the Mackinaw Bridge.

A small and meaningful museum features the final resting of Father Jacques Marquette.
The Museum of Ojibwa Culture is right across from the shores of Lake Huron.
It shares the story of not only the Ojibwa tribe, but other northern Native American tribes.
