So, journeying north; you discover and rediscover things about previous adventures.
My family was in Northern Michigan several years ago.
Michiganers love their cheese, their jerky, their state and the Great Lakes, and beer.
Traveling up I-75 you see every other exit.
However we stumbled on one of Michigan's long time coffee staples; Biggby Coffee in a community college campus

It was a nice iced and frosty coffee respite on our way to Mackinaw City.
We were extremely early for check in to our hotel property; the Clarion Hotel and Suites Beachfront.

We stepped upon an old favorite for many travelers; Mackinaw Crossings.
With the Depot Restaurant in the old Michigan Central Railroad Depot, eclectic shops and cafes, plus a cinema; it's a great place from a busy travel respite to shop, rest and relax.

Outside of the touristy shops; the walking paths and parks of Mackinaw City can break up a busy day.
