My wife and I had fond memories of those experiences while on our honeymoon. We wanted Hannah to see the Falls as we did in 2007.
All these attractions are run by the New York State Parks, Recreation and Historical Preservation Board.
They lay in the property that is America’s oldest state park; Niagara Falls State Park.
While admissions are taken online; The Cave of the Winds and the Maid of the Mist is on a first come, first served basis.
Goat Island and the remainder of the park property are free.
Several points on viewing the Falls on the American Side are Prospect Point, dining at the Top of the Falls Restaurant, Three Sisters and Luna Islands, and the Observation Tower.
Now; let’s feature the natural beauty of the Canadian side.
Niagara Parks Commission Ontario is equally invested in its history, beauty and wild adventure.
Some main features are places many folks have visited; others may have never stopped by.
The Niagara River Parkway is the main connector for the majority of the natural attractions.
Many visitors have done Journey Behind the Falls, The Hornblower Boat Tours (now Niagara City Cruises) and the Whirlpool Boat Tours.
There are many other great attractions and viewpoints.
Grand View along the river; facing the American and Bridal Falls, is one of the most iconic places to see the Falls.
Right in between the International Peace Bridge and Queen Victoria Park; it features the newest thrill (Niagara Zipline) to the storied Grand View Promenade and Marketplace.
Queen Victoria Park features lush green spaces, Queen Victoria Place (with a long standing restaurant, cafe, gift shop and front lawn)
The remodeled old Niagara Power Station is now open to the public. People see how the mighty falls have powered the Northeast US and Eastern Canada for many years.
All of these and more can be found at the Niagara Parks website.
Both sides of the Falls offer natural beauty and wonder.
