What does railroads, hockey, the CN Tower, and jousting have in common?
A full day’s visit to the heart of Toronto.
Arriving in Union Station from the UP Express, my family ventured to Toronto’s Roundhouse Park. It is steps away from the station. It features many attractions including Toronto’s CN Tower.

Originally built by the Canadian National Railway; it is now managed by the Canada Lands Company (a part of the government that manages many iconic Canadian landmarks).
Timed tickets, other experiences and the 360 restaurant are available for pre order online at their website.
After spending a great amount of time above the city scape; we headed to the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Canadians are proud of the game they invented. All aspects of the game, including the Stanley Cup reside inside of the building. It is a former bank building that was remodeled with attached shopping areas.
One can spend the whole day there. The Spirit of Hockey Game Shop is streetside and available for shopping outside of the Hall.
Many displays also have Columbus Blue Jackets artifacts as well as other greats of the game.
When we got done; there, we went back to Union Station to catch a streetcar to Exhibition Place. The Canadian National Exposition, BMO Field (Home of MLS’ Toronto FC and the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts)
It also has the Toronto location of Medieval Times Dinner Theatre and Jousting Tournament.

This made for an extremely long but memorable day in Toronto. And we are far from done yet.
More exploring Downtown and a place called “Little Canada” is up next.
Again. Life is an adventure. Get out there and live it!
