Ohio State offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Brian Hartline was hospitalized on Sunday after crashing his side-by-side ATV. The report first came out in a tweet sent by Hartline himself and was corroborated by the university.
"Ohio State assistant football coach Brian Hartline and a friend, unaffiliated with Ohio State, were transported to Riverside Hospital early this morning with non-life threatening injuries sustained in an ATV accident on his property. According to Hartline, he is hoping to be released from the hospital later this evening," OSU's statement said.
According to Blake Baumgartner of ESPN, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office said the crash occurred around 1:20 Sunday morning.
"I appreciate everyones (sic) support. I crashed my side by side on my property and have been taken to the hospital for further evaluation. I am doing well," said Hartline's tweet.
This is Hartline's seventh season with the Buckeyes and his first as the offensive coordinator. The team concluded their spring season just yesterday with the annual spring game and won't return until early August.
