Here’s a snapshot of one tank trips and great destinations of those places lined up to celebrate
The 250th anniversary of this nation’s founding.
COSI-part of the Ohio Air and Space Trail
Right in Columbus’ backyard, along the historic Scioto River; COSI has been educating and entertaining Ohioans and other guests for over 50 years.
My family has been there many times; their space gallery, “Progress” walk, and many other exhibits reflect many contributions to America’s history.
Motts Military Muesum-Groveport

Although not listed on the trail; Warren Motts is a great advocate for preserving history. His military collection in Groveport has many donated/on loan items. It literally reflects the history of our Armed Forces nestled in Southeastern Franklin County.
We visited there a couple years ago. Here’s a look from our visit via the Columbus Wired article and the YouTube video.

Which leads us to one of the best reflections of aviation and military history in the world.
Dayton-National Museum of the United States Air Force
https://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/
One of the best free admission experiences in the world; it outlays the history of the US Air Force. It also features aviation history moments and various events for the whole family.
Just down the way, Carillon Park features all aspects of invention and invitation that Dayton contributed.
This includes the Wright Brothers National Historic Site, on the grounds.
We have visited there several times. More details at their website and the Columbus Wired article.

One of the storied icons of American military and transportation history; is nestled in the humble village of Dennison.
Between New Philadelphia and Coshocton; off US 36; it is going to be the focal point next April for the 250 Buckeye Train excursions.

We have visited there previously and enjoyed our experiences.
